Faye's Mini Mall Grand Opening
Wednesday, 09 June 2010
mini mall
Steve Brackett and Maxine Lotsey have worked hard to get the new “Faye’s Mini Mall” thrift store open at the Lakeport Senior Center. The store opens this Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

LAKEPORT – The Lakeport Senior Center will have the long-anticipated grand opening of Faye’s Mini Mall this Wednesday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The thrift store has gone through a complete renovation and is stocked with a variety of quality gently used clothing and household items.

New items arrive daily and everything is reasonably priced to move, with no item exceeding $10.

All proceeds go to benefit the Meals-on-Wheels program and services offered by the senior center.

This grand opening is the culmination of efforts from Steve Brackett and Maxine Lotsey, as well as the generous donations of quality items from the community that continue to pour in.

The mall will be open for business Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesdays to 4 p.m. to go along with bingo.

Sunday breakfasts on the third Sunday of each month will be another great opportunity to browse the mini mall from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Lakeport Senior Center is located at 527 Konocti Ave., Lakeport.

Practice DMV Tests online!

Have a DMV Test coming up?  Practice away!

Driving Knowledge Tutorial Samples of Driver Written Tests

Before you come into DMV to take your written test, practice taking one (or all) of these sample tests.

Note: To allow you sufficient time for testing DMV will not be administering written or audio exams after 4:30 p.m.

Those of you with high speed Internet access are also encouraged to try our Driving Knowledge Tutorial.

When you are ready to take the actual test, keep these suggestions in mind:

  • Review the California Driver Handbook. It contains a lot of information and it may take you a few days to get through it.
  • Read the test questions carefully. Don't read anything extra into the question. There will be one correct answer and the other two answer choices will be either obviously wrong or not appropriate for the question asked.
  • Remember, all the test questions are taken from the handbook. If you miss a question, the field office employee can tell you on which page to find the correct answer.
  • Don't be nervous. DMV wants you to pass your test. Good Luck!

Here are a few more things you can do online with the DMV:
